The Hour of Code

The Hour of Code is upon us! It's happening this week, in over 33,000 classrooms across 167 countries-- over 5 million students are participating!

What can YOU do? You can go to the Library, the Computer Lab, or E-6, any lunch period all week. CSEDweek.org has a whole page of tutorials in a variety of coding languages, for beginners, those with some experience, or advanced coders. Get started here, and then you can continue to work the tutorials any time.

You can even learn coding with pencil and paper-- check out the tutorials called Unplugged! And if you need help, there are videos featuring celebrities like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Chris Bosh, and more.

If you do the Hour of Code, you can earn a Certificate on the website; let Dr. Smith know about it (take a screenshot!) and you're eligible for a prize drawing-- there will be a daily prize and another at the end of the week.

OK Jordan, let's get coding!
